Thompson Orthopaedics

Mr Thompson specialises in all aspects of knee surgery including acute ligament injuries particularly ACL reconstruction.

His surgical interests include ACL reconstruction, meniscal injuries, complex ligament reconstruction and joint replacement. He also has a special interest in anterior knee pain in athletes. 

Mr Thompson is only the second UK orthopaedic surgeon to have been invited to join the highly prestigious Australian Knee Society.  His research in ACL surgery is highly regarded and has won International awards. 

He regularly lectures Internationally and treats elite/professional sportsmen and women from all areas including Olympians, English Premiership Football, Premiership Rugby and National Netball.  He has medically represented First Class and International Rugby and Football teams.
